SHAMANIC FESTIVAL
Starting in 2021, the Ulaanbaatar City Tourism Department, in collaboration with the “Tenger Tailal” NGO organizes the “Tenger” International Shaman Festival in Khui Doloon Khudag, a few kilometers from the capital city.
More than 900 shamans from Mongolia and representatives from 27 countries, including France, Poland, the United States, Canada, Russia, China, Japan, and Korea participated in this International Event and demonstrated the characteristics, traditions, and customs of country-specific shamanic practices.
This event was held to protect the Mother Earth and spread the spiritual practices of our Ancestors. Therefore, it is an unforgettable event for those interested in Tengrism and the hidden world.
As part of the event, the following activities were conducted: The Sun worship, shamanic flag-raising ceremonies, shamanic rituals for world peace, bonfire ritual, and other shamanic rituals performed by representatives from foreign countries.
Moreover, various interesting activities were conducted such as traditional art performances, bird watching, horse archery, circus, parachute performances, and visits to local shamanic heritage sites, horse, camel, reindeer, and ox cart rides, multi-ethnic food halls, archery, and shamanic dances. Representatives from participating communities also actively participated in these events. They delivered lectures and demonstrated their traditional art performances and joined the horse archery, circus, Mongolian dances, song performances, and multi-ethnic tours. The festival is rich in showing different national cultures and food exhibitions, and games. Shamans from other countries also perform their national rituals.
Visitors and participants can meet shamans and receive specific therapy and advice.
The main goal of this festival is to protect, spread, and share with other countries the values preserved in the Mongolian cultural and spiritual heritage. This helps to strengthen the connection between different shamanic traditions around the world to raise awareness of the need to love and protect our mother earth. This activity is important in today's busy society.
We have been taking part in this festival for two years, and we invite all of you to participate in the next events. At the same time, you can benefit from training courses, therapy, and trips that we organize.
